Speek

IELTS Speaking practice, out loud.

Examiner

Let's talk about where you live. Do you live in a house or a flat?

You

I live in a flat, in Chilanzar — that's a district in Tashkent.

Still listening. Take your time.

An examiner that waits for you to finish

Speek runs the real thing: Part 1, the cue card, then the discussion. You speak, it listens, and it does not cut you off mid-sentence.

Most speaking apps stop recording after a second of silence. That is fine for dictating a text message and wrong for an exam, where thinking pauses are normal and Part 2 gives you two full minutes. Speek listens for the pause lengths a real examiner would, so a hesitation costs you nothing.

What you get back

After each session you get a band for each of the four criteria — fluency, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy, pronunciation — and, for every answer you gave, what a stronger version of it would have sounded like.

Grammar and vocabulary drills are built from your own mistakes, not from a generic list, and they are free to practise.
